Nominations now being accepted for the 2025-27 Board of Directors for FNPN

Good Day,
It is time once again to begin the election process for the Florida Nurse Practitioner Network. This year, our First Vice President in charge of Legislative Affairs, Secretary and Membership Chair, and Region Directors from even-numbered regions will be nominated and voted on.
For those that may wish to run, the positions of VP and Secretary Positions hold the following responsibilities:
First Vice President- Elected for a two year term. First Vice President shall
- Assume the Duties of the president should the President be absent or unable to serve
- Assume other duties as assigned by the President
- Oversee Health Policy, media and public relations for the FNPN
- (must have served on the board in some capacity in the past 6 years)
Secretary- Elected for a two year term. The secretary shall:
- Keep a record of all proceedings from all the minutes of the Board of Directors and general membership meetings
- Ensure that the Board of Directors and members are notified of elections and appointments
- Ensure that all meetings of Board of Directors are sent
- Correspond with other organizations and assume other duties as assigned by the President
Membership Chair- Elected for a two year term. The membership chair shall:
- Oversee demographic database of members
- Maintain list of group members of officers and contacts of importance to FNPN members
- Oversee membership drives
- Report status of membership to Board of Directors quarterly
- Oversee members needs surveys as directed by the President
Region Directors- Regions 2 & 4 - Elected for a two year term. The regional director shall:
- Serve as liaisons between the Board of Directors and the membership in the region that they represent. Region Directors shall maintain their primary residence within their respective regions.
Elections
Nominations for elections begin now until closure June 30, 2024. July 1-4, 2024, candidates will be contacted to confirm their willingness to run and submit candidate speeches and paperwork. The slate of candidates will be announced July 7, 2024. The link for ballots will be sent July 7, 2024 electronically (or by mail if requested) to each active member of the organization. Elections will be open from July 7- August 7, 2024. Any persons can self-nominate or be nominated by another member. All candidates must be a current member (for a 12 consecutive month minimum) of FNPN to run for office.
